I am so excited! The big kids have always had a love of books. The twins haven’t. I know, I know, don’t compare kids…it’s like comparing apples to oranges. However, I was still kind of worried. I didn’t read to them nearly as much as I had the others. Life just kind of went too fast during their babyhood and now their toddlerhood is dwindling down to just a few months. Once they hit 2, I did seem to find a calm. Time to read seemed to slip in easier to our hectic life. Apparently this has made an impact. I often find them like this.
I have slowly begun to trust the twins more to be alone in the school room. There was a time when Ruby found the markers WAY too accessible (which found her arms way too “marked”), however, now she finds the books more interesting. Well, until I bring the crayons or markers out, but that is ok. They still love to spend time laying around digging into a good book.
And then they get excited and put the book’s lesson’s into application. Like when Jack excitedly exclaimed “look Mommy I am reading the BELLY BOOK!”
