January 2016

It seemed like all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and moving, and the end of the fall semester came to a halt in January.  We settled into our new (old) house and began our new life in our new town.

We started visiting a local coffee and pastry shop called Baked and Sconed.  They have delicious scones and pastries.  Best of all, it is within walking distance of our house.

We made some forts.  And by we I mean the kids.  I only helped by letting them use our big utility clips.

We rid our house of a mouse.

We visited Lowes.  Many times.  Too many times.

We worked on getting our schoolroom to a usable state.

Brian and I put the trampoline up.  Finally the kiddos can jump and bounce to their hearts content.

Despite all of our hard work and unpacking, our dining room still looks like this.

At least we have pretty flowers to look at on the table.

And then there was this house.  Our Killeen house.  Sigh.  We had an offer, we even had a closing date.  We were ready to say good bye and move on from our first house that we owned.  I am saving this story for another post though.  Let’s just say things didn’t go as planned.

More on that later.
