The kids attended the local Cub Scout and & American Heritage Girls day camp. The twins were thrilled to join their big siblings this year. They learned archery, baseball, leather working, and many other skills this year.

I, Kelly, took on the position of Children’s Director at our church. We hosted a summer block party at our house. Everyone enjoyed the water slide, presentations, and snow cones.

In addition to taking on the position of Children’s Director, I decided to start a website for finding fun and local things to do around the greater Fort Hood area. Our intent was to make the best of our time in the area.

The Great Place Local was fun and required research which meant we had fun trying out local establishments like…

Local snow cone stands!

We also took time to play, enjoy friends, and have fun with family.

And we added to our family.  Meet Lily Belle. She was a 6 week old kitty that we adopted from the Killeen animal shelter.  Bonus points if you know where we got the name..
