Night number 3

So far, not so good.
After the twins were sleeping decently through the night (only getting up once a night each) I thought it would be time to start putting them in their own room at night.  Ok, that is somewhat a lie.  Lately I have been putting them down for naps here and there in their room.  On Saturday, they actually mixed things up a bit .  They woke up really early from their afternoon nap so they took what I thought was a quick early evening nap.  It turns out they were going down for the night.  I was a bit nervous, but after putting the baby monitor in the room I was ok.
The first time they woke up was fine.  However, when Ruby woke up screaming (thanks to teething pain) I had just about had it.  I almost brought her into our room.  I decided against it and they stayed the whole night.
The second night Ruby only woke up twice, while Jack never really slept.  He woke up to nurse sometime around midnight, but never really went back to sleep.  It was a struggle until sometime between 3 and 4am.  At 3am after never even sleeping a winkI knew I was in for it and begged Brian (I really did) to help me.  He tried unsuccesfully to get him to sleep and we finally brought him to bed with us.  He was out almost instantly.  I carefully put him in the pack and play in our room.
I finally got to sleep, but at 5am Ruby woke up to nurse.  I drifted in and out of sleep in the rocker (not big comfy chair in our room) until Brian came and told me to go to bed so I wouldn’t wake up in pain.  What a nice guy!  Anyway, I was able to sleep until 8:30, even then I only woke up because Kenniston was in our room talking to her baby brother (waking him up actually).

Here is praying tonight is better.  Jack seems to have similar issues again tongiht….
