The Big Kids FIRST arena concert

We have taken the kids to several live music events, but never in a big arena setting. At the last minute, we decided to head to a big music event in Austin called “Winter Jam.” While Nana & Papa Scott watched the twins, Brian, the big kids and I rocked out to 10 awesome Christian music artists. We got to hear bands like Sanctus Real, For King and Country, my favorite, Kari Jobe and Brian’s favorite, Skillet.

Lovin' some Kari Jobe!!!

Before the show Kenniston picked out this bracelet at the Kari Jobe booth. The proceeds from the sale of the bracelet go to stop human trafficking. Even though Kenniston didn’t know what human trafficking is, she knew that she was helping someone and that made her very happy!

At 9:30 Vincent informed me that it was “2 1/2 hours past our bedtime. Did you knwo that Mommy, TWO AND A HALF HOURS!” He was still having a good time, though I could see his eyes dropping a little….

By 10:30pm the kids were tired and done with the loud music. After hearing 2 Skillet songs, we left. Brian went back to Killeen with some church friends while the kids and I went to Nana’s house (she had the twins) to stay the night.

Mommy it's 3 hours after our bedtime, can we go home now? #winterjam

It was a long night, but everyone had a lot of fun!
