The Walls are Closing In..

As you know, we are moving soon. In 6 days. We started packing almost 2 weeks ago. It started small, I cleaned out a small storage closet in the bathroom. I got rid of 2 bags of stuff. Ever since then, I have been hooked. I have thrown out countless bags of unused goods. Given away twice as many items that we no longer use. And sold a few boxes of things in a recent yard sale.

However…the pile(s) of boxes to move to the new house continue to multiply. Behind our couch.

In our {already small} dining room.

In the twins room (hey, at least it is completely packed, wohoo!).

Even their closet is lined in boxes.

It is getting really hard to even want to be at our current house. I find myself wanting to just go somewhere so I don’t have to look at the massive piles of boxes and little things that have yet to be packed. I have come to the conclussion that a hoarder, I could not be. Seeing boxes surround me makes me ill. It gives me a headache. Seriously.

I know all of those boxes will soon fill up these spaces…

But for now, I will continue to spend my days packing away. I am thankful that Brian has taken the kids out a few times so I can pack in peace. Have you ever packed with 4 kids 5 years and under? It isn’t easy. There have been a few tears. A few back aches. A very messy kitchen. Some kind friends.

I am thankful for our new house and will keep reminding myself that in the end, it will all be worth it!
